Ring Profiles, PLEASE!
I really don't understand why WP7 doesn't have "profiles" such as WM6.5
I.E. when I go to a meeting I would like to quickly change to meeting profile, or if I'm outdoor I would like to have a profile for that matter.
Is at least any software like Handy Assistant for WP7? I had the chance to use it in WM 6.5 and configure profile behavior autoselected according to my schedule. Can I do something like that in WP7?52 votes -

Switch easier between vibration only, sound and vibration, sound only and silent mode
We need to go in the parameters to switch between sound+vibration or vibration only to silent mode. It's not userfriendly

Use wireless to place phone call when weak cell service available
The ability to use wireless internet to place calls when cellular signal is weak would be a game changer. Work with carriers and do this.

call transfer/call divert
it would be very helpfull not only for businesses to be able to transfer calls to someone else (after accepting the call, not forwarding). Something like "Add call" and a transfer button maybe with a configurable sequence (##3#) ajustable to your providers need.

Must be able to directly call to a phone number found on eg. a web page. It's not even possible by copy/paste to dial pane.
A string of numbers on a web page, sms, text document etc. should be recognized as phone number and an option to call to that should be offered. Additionally there should be a dialling pane to which one could paste numbers, edit them and make a call and/or save to contacts.

Nuisance call block
There should be an option under phone settings to block calls that show no number (private or anonymous). The caller would either be sent straight to voicemail or receive a message advising them that they need to unblock their number before calling. Another setting would give users the ability to only receive calls from people in their contact list. Everyone else would be transferred straight to voicemail.

Windows Phone 8 is marketed as having Video Calling. It doesn't. My old HTC
Windows Phone 8 is marketed as having "Video Calling".It doesn't (At least my Nokia Lumia 920 doesn't). My old HTC TouchPro 2 did. Why has this gone, and how can it be marketed as having "Video Calling" as a feature when it doesn't. Skype (and other applications) don't count: The networks can do this without other applications. Please put this back in.

Less taps to make a call
Letters on a dial pad could be used to search users phonebook using T9.
Andoid has this, makes finding a contact a lot easier.39 votes
