Please make viewing SMS info/properties possible. If a contact with two or more numbers send a SMS to me, I don't know which number that contact is using while also chatting via Facebook in one thread.

PNs are not visible if missed. Showing them in message hub allows them to be recognized later and start the assigned app if tapped.

Privacy: The content of incoming messages should never be shown on the main screen by default and especially not when the phone is locked!

This phone will be really great it i was able to put some costume ringtones and text tones on mu phone. The default ringtones arent that great. :/

If you get a call or leave messaging screen, persist that unsent SMS message so user can come back and finish or send it later

I know that the Windows 8 phones allow you to save your text messages, but that doesn't help me as I have a 7.5. It would be great if the Windows folks could help people out with older models of the phone.

Major Privacy issue. Whats the point of locking the phone if people can see the message.

Integrating of MSN messenger and Facebook is awesome so please integrate yahoo,gtalk, skype, office Communicator etc into messaging system, so that no other device can beat windows phone. Also add video calling option to that.
so no other app required to install explicitly.

Implement SMS standard for Subjects in SMS messages, same as implemented in "dumb" phones from Motorola and LG. The implementation of the standard is very simple. If the text of the SMS is:
"(Job #123) Cancelled"
It would be interpreted as:

Subject: Job #123
Body: Cancelled

Replying to the message would carry the original subject, and start with prefilled:

Subject: Re: Job #123
Body: (starts blank)

This extremely simple enhancement would enable some business applications out there to use Windows Phone. It does not require carrier support, since the subject is self contained in the SMS text.

Current level of customization is pretty low. we need to differentiate notifications of received SMS or calls from different people. (different colour of message icons for instance)
Also to be able to turn off notifications about incoming SMS outside the message hub screen.
