I've just wrote a 600 character text and then hit the home button by accident. The message was not saved. I wasn't even asked if I really want to go to the home screen and LOSE EVERYTHING I JUST TYPED.

If you they don't care to improve the messaging app it would at least be nice to have an SMS API so I can build a proper texting app myself ...

3 days to no longer receive messages from facebook chat integrated in, we just write! they write, but the phone does not receive as many as possible we have found!

I think we absolutely need that option to text people our recorded videos! The android & iPhone already do this. I get wary of having to email people my videos.

Integrate Bing Translate into Messaging so that any emails or SMS texts can also be translated. The API is there for translate, but developers cannot access messages to do this themselves.
This would make Windows Phone more global and available in some way to everyone.

When I receive & reply to messages on my laptop (Windows Live Messenger) they are not marked as read on the phone.

I would like to propose an app or a WP7 O.S. improvement to backup/export and restore/import Message hub messages (SMS, MESSENGER, FACEBOOK...) from WP7 phones to WP7 & WP8

Support other IM clients, like Yahoo IM (which most of my friends use).

I think there should be some button at the bottom of the screen (or under the ... menu) to quickly call someone if you are texting them. Apple has this, and so does Android, and I miss it a LOT. It seems like you shouldn't have to close Messaging and then go initiate a call.
