WP should fully sync to Outlook, tasks, including categories calendar including categories contacts including categories and notes including categories

Be able to sync directly to Outlook without having to sync via the cloud

The PC Syncing app for WP on both Win7 and Win8 is terrible and a major step back from Zune. Bring all the features that were standard in Zune Application to the WP Sync App. Examples:

3) Playlist Sync
4) Play Counts
5) Ratings
6) Auto-Playlists
7) Autofill
8) Zune Music Pass Songs
9) Combine Xbox Music Player, Store and Sync Apps

Zune should have a feature that lets users save/sync their text messages to their computer. Some people treasure their messaging history with others.

we need possibility to transfer file from PC to phone without Zune ( we need to see the phone as memory disk )

SMS Backup would be a good idea for users of Windows Phone 7 if the want a migration to Windows Phone 8 without losing their data.

It should be possible to synchronize your contacts you have on your pc to your phone via USB.

I have used Nokia phones for the past 10 years and I have absolutely loved the Nokia Suite software. I was thoroughly disappointed when I brought home my Lumia 710 and was unable to sync with the software. I am now forced to sync with an inferior Zune software. I loved that when my phone was connected to the Nokia Software all of my pictures, videos, music, and contacts were automatically synced and updated. If I am forced to use Zune, (sigh), please make it more "phone friendly" not just a music player software. Thanks.

I would my contact sub folders in outlook/exchange to be synced to the people hub on windowsphone. Works great on IOS and Android.

I shouldn't have to re-link my contacts if I buy a new phone or hard reset. Windows Live should remember who was linked.

Windows 8 doesn't allow us to *wirelessly* sync our WP7 devices through Zune. Not sure which driver broke, but I'd greatly love to see it fixed.

It's a shame that the Mac Windows Phone software emulates iTunes rather than Zune, give the Mac guys an app that isn't grey! :)
