  On my windows 8 phone I cannot talk and tether.
  I could on my other phones.

  I only saw one comment that had this right.

  The phone (7.5) supports tethering, but....
  ... your provider has to allow it.

  I have Sprint. Tethering is an option on my phone, but if I want to use it, Sprint wants to charge me more.

  I can remeber the days when the 'phone' was presented as a USB modem to your computer. And your phone company didn't know if it was your phone or your computer that was actually recieving the data. But those days are long gone. Sorry

  On lumia 800 this feature is eneabled, but first you must update the firmware to the version 1750.0805.8773.12270

  Impossible, lg quantum 7722 att dont have this feature. Not completed

  i was a android user and used to use wifi hoptspot from my cellphone to the notebook daily. this is the thing i miss more from android (but USB tethering would be sufficient).

  Although this feature is now available on Windows Phone 7.5, carriers must enable it for us to use it. Love to see it completely independent of carriers. That being said, it's great having it part of Windows Phone.

  I have 7.5 Mango on Samsung Omnia 7 in Romania and cannot find this option on my phone. What bothers me is that Microsoft considers this feature implemented and moves on developing others features. In fact is NOT implemented/available to all windows phone. Why?

  is internet sharing (tethering) enabled on htc 7 surround after it is updated to Windows 7.5 mango update????

  The feature being requested is independent of the carrier. If the carrier can disable it, then take the suggestion to mean: "prevent carriers from being able to disable wifi hotspot functionality".

  I believe that the Lumia 800 lacks the hardware to enable tethering

  wifi tethering is brought to the hd7 yet up until now htc hasnt fixed the dynamic mac address issue.

  "completed" is a rubbish response, it isnt there! this week bought lumia 800, updated it, still not able to tether

  Please read below all,
  Microsoft allow this feature, but its the hardware provider that needs to enable it on the phone.
  In my case im waiting for the Lumia 800 update from Nokia that are rumored to be released.
