  If you wanted to transfer something from a public computer to your phone what shoul you do? You need USB Storage mode!
  Most of phones support USB Storage!!!

  Without USB support this phone becomes useless in my car as a USB device to plug into my stereo (for music). Found a app on xda to enable USB access via pc so its a start (search for Wp7USBstorageEnabler). USB storage needs to be added in urgently or WP7 going to loose allot of customers to Andriod.

  You can create folders. On the SkyDrive allow people by links or permissions super sweet

  Skydrive is great but data internet=expensive, computer are not always connected, click and drag usb is faster than zune sync and skydrive

  How can i use MY wp7 when i go somewhere ? installation of zune is forbidden. Unlock will put people first.

  i disagree i think if you were able to should be a passcode entered to unlock the device like zune software

  Zune (cloud) is not a serious alternative in a real world business environment. I only realized this missing feature after I bought a WP 7.5 smartphone; direct data exchange between a WP device and a PC is ESSENTIAL!

  Get rid of the Zune junk software and allow normal USB mass storage access to the device ! I already have Windows Media Player on my PC (which works 100x better as Zune) to hold my media content, so let it synchronise as mass storage. In addition, mass storage should be available to easily store personal things (no we don't use Skydrive everywhere, definitely not abroad).

  I was shocked this wasn't included from the start. This should be done soon, it would be very useful.

  Would like to be able to easily move/copy files from pc and to move photos/wallpapers between folders on phone

  This feature is sorely missed. Zune transfer is much clunkier than direct drag and drop.
