Yes, most wanted feature. WindowsPhone should browse & let access Home network over WLAN.

It kinda beats the whole purpose of having 32GB of storage if you can't really use to the fullest. I love my lumia 920 but its issues like this that make me use my android Xperia phone more due to its less restrictive experience

I hear you, it can really disappoint especially when trying to load big files such as e bools onto the phone.
I have a windows 7 phone but MS should really include this feature on all windows phones.
Pleaseee save us from data charges

This is one of the two biggest letdowns I've had with Windows Phone 8. Please Microsoft - follow Android's lead on this, not iOS's.

yes, this feature is also a must.
why all the apps such as reader , demand to upload the downloaded files to skydrive, then download.
It uses internet in both ways.
        big trouble
.is there any way to use it just from your phone since it is provide with 32G. if everythings need to be uploaded twice ,what's the use for large space
please do it the same as symbian, android, thanjs thanks

One of the reason why i buy this windows phone device because it has Ms. office installed. But i'm really disappointed because i can't transfer my document to my phone from PC. I'm a university student and i have to read and edit a lot of documents and presentations. I dont want to upload and download all of them !!!

Its getting very hectic everytime to upload and download documents. So the proces should be very easy as just to sync the documents from PC to mobile.

V disappointed to find I can't move pics/sound files/docs around without the hassle of Zune thinking it can do things better than I can. Worse still when Zunes not on the computer I connect to.

The lack of such a basic feature can only be accepted by apple fanboys in the long run.I want to be able to access MY files over USB connection or whatever connection I find appropriate whenever I am connected, i.e. by USB to PC instead of being advised to use only one method, or ridiculous workarounds.

Where the h*** is this "cloud" btw? Where the h*** are my files at???

I have a feeling we'll see this in WinPho8 (hopefully 7.8 too) since they added the support for SD cards. Fingers crossed.

I see no reason why this can't but added. Would be very handy for enterprise users if local network shares can be managed by users via active directory group mumbership

windows phone is rubbish and i will never buy another one. I prefer to swap files directly to phone via usb and not have to send files off to places where they can be hacked. No sd card so cannot just add files. I dont see why i have to upload files to the internet then back down to phone when i have them to hand and could just easily go copy/paste.
