Sorry guys, I disagree. Microsoft have 'basically' put the breaks on Silverlight. HTML5 is the standard for rich web content delivery. If you have an App in Silverlight, start getting your teams to migrate to HTML5.

Look at the Windows 8 Metro UI's programming languages available and the IE10 features for an indication of the direction of Microsoft.

I totally agree. However; I don't think out-of-browser experience is a requirement as this would break the marketplace app model. Wasn't this something that was promised for Windows Mobile 6.5 that almost seemed to get the ball rolling that ushered in the whole idea of Silverlight on Windows Phone in the first place?

Please wait for Silverlight 5 RTW and then instantly release for IE9 since its the same codebase as of PC version!! Please don't this as a part of a big update. Just roll it out!

OAN, the accepted suggestions section is still empty! please al least start accepting those suggestions which you are going to roll out!

SL apps should be working on IE. HUH ? Don't tell me Mango update doesn't have SL support in IE ? I'm still waiting for that update.
