  We were just about to purchase 10 WP8 handsets for business and not having this feature is about to influence a change in hardware choice. I have a personal WP7 handset currently running 7.8, but cannot set my e-mail alerts as there is no way to set a peak/off-peak option. We cannot live with this for business devices.

  Peak sync times is a must...I am getting woken up in the middle of the night because of some email

  Automatically switching off syncing based on a schedule would also save battery power significantly. I have proven that in my old Windows Mobile 6 phone.

  I just tweeted that we need this feature. No fun being woken up at 2am by email syncs from work. A must have feature for sure!

  Had this in Symbian years ago... How could they have left this out from WP7?

  please enable this. many people use the phone as an alarm clock and dont want to be alarmend when an email arrives off peak hours.

  this is very important. in business hours i want "realtime" exchange sync, at night none. please ms think about your business users!

  For my office e-mail account I don't need to be woken up every time I receive an e-mail in the middle of the night. It's quite frustrating that this feature that exists in Windows Mobile hasn't been implemented for Windows Phone 7.
