Enable rotation of pictures in the camera roll
Agreed, Rotate and Crop should be essential in 7.8
Download an app only for rotate an image is ridiculous. Ms have to implements at least rotate function and cut image function.
i agree sometimes u take photos at different angles and need to orient them on your screen for better viewing
Its a pain. I use Evernote to take a pic of my notes, etc then add them, tag them and have a good record. But the ability to change orientation in camera mode is missing. So is the ability to always set the camera into macro mode. Why ? You don't have to actually transpose the picture, just the EXIF display setting. Bet MSFT dont use this ....
even though there're apps to do this, I consider it would be a big plus a rotation option built in the camera

Think there is a current bug with orientation anyway, but manually rotating would be useful.

Rotate and Crop are *extremely* useful (miss them from my symbian powered Nokia), should defninitaly be there!
Yes, I want to choose the orientation of pictures (and videos) by myself! Sometimes pictures are shown in wrong orientation, if taken with the camera facing down (e.g. taking a picture of a letter lying on the table). One day I wanted to show a picture of a chassis number plate of my car to a salesperson (to buy correct paint color) and my phone always rotated the picture upside down. Embarrassing. An extra app is needed to rotate the picture.
In contrast, videos are always shown in landscape mode. Is there any reason behind this behavior?
and Video too!
