  Its very useful while dailing, it automatically display the contact. Without that most of them using separate software.

  its very easy to for calling, otherwise we need check with people.

  this is one of the first things I noticed was missing when I bought the HTC 8x phone.

  Another basic smartphone function that was unfortunately ignored on Windows Phone. There are 3rd party apps like 7Dialer and RapDialer that do this but again because of API restrictions, the are not able to integrate with the call history.

  Even Android have this. We want smart dialing!

  This I think is called Smart Dialing, and was a feature on Windows Mobile 6.x - I remember it clearly. As I typed numbers, it would match them to contacts' names or phone numbers as I typed, so that 263 would show 263 phone numbers and people's names containing 'and' in them. This isn't advanced, I would consider this basic to Windows Phones.

  smart dialing is a must... even though its possible by installing an app 'True Dialler' but it should come as in-built one..

  Smart dailing from number pad. should be a priority.

  Also applies to showing person name when dialling without area code. For example, in my address book, if I have a person named "John Doe" with phone number 818-555-5555 and I am located in area code 818.. then dialling 555-5555 should show his name rather than the number.
