I would like to have the same functions as sync in windows mobile 6.0 had. This was very helpfull, fast and comfortable.

Strongly needed is a sync with notes from the outlook-calender also. Not only the appointments itself. As it is now, I need to open my pc to read the notes to an appointment. :o(

Akruto sync is the programme for syncing your windows phone calendar with outlook, WITHOUT using the Internet! It syncs everything, not only appointments and contacts, but everything. The trial version works for 30 days so give it a try.

Yes, sync Tasks WITH OUTLOOK WITH OUTLOOK HOTMAIL CONNECTOR. I can sync it from phone to live, but still cant from live to outlook. So it's still useless!

Let me make sure I'm clear...I understand that some things can be sync'd between Outlook and Hotmail, then into an Android phone...

I NEED MY TASKS and NOTES. and you don't even sync them between your two products...Hotmail and Outlook???

Google is already my number one FAIL as a company, you're starting to fall right under that.

After three years of ****....I need to seriously ask...WHAT IS THE PROBLEM WITH YOU PEOPLE? Fir three years I've been trying to get a decent sync solution between Outlook and an Android phone that is:
        1. Wireless
        2. Doesn't require a bunch of third-party apps, accounts and fees
        3. doesn't require massive upgrades to "the latest" version, costing be a LOT of money.

These phones and services should have had this solution OUT OF THE BOX!!!

Microsoft, Google, all of you should be ashamed of the **** POOR job you've done for people that need task management...the hundreds of thousands of us that are begging you in forums and comment sections. My Palm Pilot did a better job than this ten years ago.

Sync tasks between Outlook & Hotmail tasks/todo's to improve functionality.

I am voting yes to Todd's point about flagged emails. I frequently receive an email and flag it with a reminder to remember to get back to this person by a certain date/time.

I have many tasks that run over multiple days, but they do not happen all of those days. To me the purpose of a task is to give you a window of time to work on it and not a whole period of time dedicated to working on it.

I see a calendar item as a period of time dedicated to an activity. That is the whole reason I use the automatic sound profile so my phone goes to vibrate mode when that meeting starts. I know free appointments now do not force your sound profile to change, but my earlier statement best describes my feeling about the difference between appointments and tasks.

Whiling syncing of Tasks via exchange is in Mango there are two things that are missing still.
        1) The ability to sync tasks if not connected to exchange
        2) And for me this is the biggest one... Flag emails, which show up as tasks in Outlook, need to also show up as tasks on the phone. Or at least provide an easy way to see flagged emails across all folders (currently you can only see flagged emails for the folder for which you are in).

But there is no folder, category support in Mango. Notes are still missing (does iOS has better Exchange support than WP? :-D )

If you don't have Exchange, Tasks only sync with Hotmail (To-do list). They are not sync'ed with the Outlook tasks on your PC. Microsoft needs to update the Hotmail Connector to achieve this.

This is already available in Window Phone 7.5 aka Mango. Make sure it is enabled with the account in settings. You can find the tasks under the calendar tile.
