That should be scheduled in a Night-profile with changing The ringtones

yes a general "profile" app or setting that maybe turns off the alerts for texts and emails at night, or maybe even automatically if it notices your calender is set to "in meeting"

This would work well in some type of Profile App: http://windowsphone.uservoice.com/forums/101801-feature-suggestions/suggestions/3428903-situations-for-windows-phone-gps-nfc-profiles

It worked so well in Windows Mobile 6.5 - set a download schedule for Peak Times, and define the time period that applies. Off Peak times default to manual.
I currently have to go into Settings EVERY NIGHT and switch from "As Items Arrive" to "Manual" - what a pain. -

Don H. - You shouldn't have to turn off your Data and WiFi every night. Just set your sync settings to manual.

This feature is combined with the Alarm profiles on Blackberry phones. This really needs to be a feature in all phones to prevent mail notifications during night time hours. If you can at least create a profile for mail and text notifications while the alarm function is active would be very helpful.

Coming from an Android phone to the Lumia 900 this is the ONE feature this OS sooooo needs. On Android it's called "Notify Once" where the phone will only notify you of an unread email once and collect the rest silently in the background until you check your inbox. This feature or something equivalent is sorely needed. I'm tired of having to shut off Wifi and Data every night manually.
Silencing the phone is not a good option as I need to be able to receive emergency calls 24/7

Please implement like in WinMo. As others have said saves waking people up at night. And why waste battery syncing email when I am sleeping!?

Either add this feature or then the possibility to schedule the phone for silent profile during the hours between xx:yy - xx:yy, eg. 01:00 - 06:30. That would solve the mailsync problem in my case.

I liked it in WM6.5, so why not including it in all mail connectors for WP7 as well? (So not only Outlook but also Gmail/Hotmail etc.).
