When "Purchased" apps are removed or No Longer Available in the marketplace, they are Deleted in the event of a Reset and are removed from the purchase history. If it's purchased why can't it be kept?

It is so much more convenient to download apps from my PC (without even having my phone nearby/plugged in) and then syncing to my phone (as I did with my old iPhone). Then I don't have to keep my phone close to a WiFi spot. We can already access the marketplace from Zune. So why not add the app syncing ability?

I'd like to a have list of downloaded apps that I can delete apps off of that I don't want to keep.

I have just had to reset my phone twice. the reinstalling of apps individually is tedious, boring and blah ...
The autorestore didn't work the second time.
If the apps and their settings were backed up I wouldn't have to repeat this. I am now not getting any more apps as its too hard to restore. I will stick to three of my 15 that I could be bothered to reinstall.

The list of installed apps is nice but I don't necessarily want all of them installed and would like to be able to create a set of "current" applications to install.
