Swiping left from home screen should show list of missed text message notifications
I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket the other day. After I finished typing, I took it out, and the screen was off.
I turned it on. From the lock screen, I see no text message indicator, so I know I didn’t get a text.
I enter my pin, and the start screen appears.
There’s no obvious way to know what caused it to vibrate in the first place. Whatever toast it was, is now gone.
Was it facebook? Was it weatherbug notifying me that it was above 80 in seattle? I’ll never know.
It would be nice if you could swipe to the left from the start screen to see all of the toast notifications that you've missed.

Would be nice if i swiped left i got a new start screen with room for more tiles. (Not having them all layed out vertical).
Create a widget/tile that displays last toasts. No reason to have it build in the OS, just give an app that can list em. -

Even better is to swipe down like on android or something to see the notifications. If I swipe to the right now I like seeing all the previous apps I was using.

You mean swipe to the right? But yes: Would be a reasonable feature!

Just voted twice for this, you see this is why Windows Phone is falling behind the rest... at this point Blackberry will climb back to third place in no time. Wake up Microsoft!

Looks like Blackberry beat WP to the punch. That's what happens when you don't listen to your customers Microsoft!

Wow, I'm starting to see a pattern here; most if not all of the requests here seem to have been suggested since Windows Phone came out. Here we are on WP8 now and still nothing, WTF is MS thinking... do they have **** for brains?

Microsoft will end support for Windows Phone 8 and 7.8 in the second half of 2014. A total of 18 months of support, and that period has of course already begun, as both operating systems are shipping on various hardware. Support for WP8 will end first, on July 8th, 2014, while 7.5 "Mango" will hit the end of the road on September 9th of that year

Great suggestion, notification history to the left of home screen. Maybe being able to clear all the entries or just some?
