Support Swype for alternate keyboard entry
I'd like the keyboard to support the SWYPE input model.

Microsoft says they have the best mobile keyboard. That is an oxymoron. Mobile keyboard are difficult to use. Adding either support for Swype or SwiftKey or adding that type of functionality would be huge. I can type so much faster on an Android phone because I can get the swype functionality. ADD IT PLEASE!!!

I would switch from Android to Windows, if it weren't for the fact that the Windows phone does not support third party keyboards.

Yes, please give the Swype guys permission to install a feature keyboard (Swype keyboard) that is different from the stock W8 one. As you know from their website (see http://forum.swype.com/showthread.php?10299-Swype-for-Windows-8) they are willing to work on it, if you are willing to let them!!

Agreed Come on Windows....
I think Windows Phone 8 needs to understand that many of their their new customers have come with some basic expectations and if these expectations are not met Android is a viable alternative. -

You know, I withdraw my vote for Swype - because the Windows Phone keyboard is actually really good. Swype is necessary on Android because predictive text is so bad. On WP7/8 its excellent. I can type almost as fast as Swype on Android.
If they bring this feature, it will be good, but not a game-changer IMO. What would be a game changer is getting major companies on board to create their apps for WP8 (e.g. banking apps, anywhere you see some corporate website with iPhone/Android but no WP8)

The only thing keeping me from getting a windows phone is no swype

Give the user choice of the keyboard that they want.
Personally, I want Swype, but I should have other options, too.
For instance, a keyboard should include the speech-to-text option, so that I can speak words in any typing situation. -

I quite like the keyboard of WP. It's better than anything else except, maybe, Swype. Please, give us the option to choose between them.

This has been my single biggest pain point since switching from Android. PLEASE open the keyboard to 3rd parties.

Windows phone 8 default keyboard is terrible. I can tell people who designed this operating system DON'T use it! Jesus, I can barely type on it without making 5 typos, 1 step forward, 12 steps back..in 2013.
