Automatic Retry for Text Messages
If a text message fails to send it should auto-retry on a schedule or when cell signal returns. Annoying to discover that a text I thought sent didn't and I missed the failed to send notification.

Please sign the petition:
Microsoft should stop selling its windows phone. They have launched their product without doing comprehensive R&D about users' requirement.
It is like they are selling their beta version for improvement of their OS. It lacks even basic features as can be seen in their suggestion box forumhttp://windowsphone.uservoice.com/forums/101801-feature-suggestions
We request Microsoft not to make fool of users with their bug full phone OS.
Is it morally correct for a trusted firm who uses its brand name to sell a cheap product. Buying a smart phone may be fun for many people. But people in low income economies it’s a life time investment. If trusted brand like Microsoft sell their cheap products it not only hurts the sentiment of the user but it also frustrate him and sow the seed for not trusting any technology. We request Microsoft not to make fool of users with their bug full phone OS.
Thanks
Aditya

Amazing why such basic features are not in WP8. Has MS not learned anything from WP7?

Still not in my WP8. PLEASE implement this. Fed up of hitting retry when in dodgy reception areas, and being unable to queue an SMS into an 'Outbox' when in zero reception areas (such as underground trains, tunnels etc).

This is a Blackberry feature that I sorely miss on WP8 (Lumia 822)

Yes. My android does this, and it's a good thing too because my text messages fail on first attempt probably 20% of the time.

Amazed it still doesn't do this. Email works like this, why not SMS? The connection status is known. Even a retry schedule would be something.

Perhaps there should be a clearer confirmation of when the message has properly sent?

or at least a remainder that a message doesn't reach the intended recipient...

Gets me loads especially when travelling on trains. Also, sometimes you know you have no signal (ldn underground) but want to write a text so it sends when you pop out of a station.

Failed to send notification should also be MUCH more alarming. I once didnt hear the bling sound, and therefor 2 days went by where I though the sms was send, but it wasn't. This is REALLY a BIG PHONE FAILURE!!!
