Allow changing your windows id live location
I moved from UK to Switzerland 2 years ago. I bought a phone here a month ago. I now cannot use all the services.

Apparently, Microsoft has recently resolved the country/region change issue for XBox/Zune/Windows Phone accounts (without requiring an XBox console, and without the need to contact Support):

Its a must; people move and change region all the time, its simply not an option for me to up and create a new live ID the one I have had for years is associated with many of my services both personal and professional.

There are more and more US apps only available for US regions. It's very annoying, just remove the region process, it's absolutely useless

I dont see any reason why microsoft wont allow us to change our region.everyone tends to move out from a country onve in a while.

I have the same problem!
I moved to another country and now, I can't access the marketplace of my region.I doesn't make any sense that they don't allow you to change the country you live in.
I can't sing in zune neither.
Please, put that functionality, It should be there!

Absolutely agree this limitation is stupid. I live in Switzerland, have a Swiss WinPhone8, and use a Swiss e-mail based Live acount (all by the book). I am not Swiss though. When I try to access the Music hub from the phone I get served a German language page - and I do not understand German. There is no langauge preference selection possible on the site even though a site supporting Switzerland should at least offer the 3 national languages. There seems to be a pervading arrogance that everyone in Switzerland speaks German. As far as I, and MS support, can work out this web page is served because of the IP address being used (it is not the phone because the same thing happens from my PC) but I think it is also determined by the registration location and other details of the Live ID account. Despite RBJ's comment below, changing the Region on the phone makes no difference to this behaviour. Come on Microsoft - change the stupidity. I do not mind being directed to a particular web site because of my location, but at least give me a free langauge choice when I get there. I will NOT be buying any Microsoft product from this site until it is fixed. Really, really dumb - talk about shooting oneself in the foot!

This is already possible, guys.
Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 can change region by the flick of a button. :)
Now only Xbox left who are still stuck in the past.
