Enable the support of special IMAP folders
It should be good to enable the support/mapping of special IMAP folders such as DRAFT, OUTBOX, JUNK, QUARANTINE,...

I'm really getting into my new W8 Phone and beginning to like it. But there ist one big huge flaw: I can't change the name of my sent and trash folder. Please let us change the internal name of Trash, Outbox, Junk, and so on...

At the moment THIS is the DEAL BREAKER NO.1 for WP8 for me. I cant change the folders on my imap server, and WP8 can also not change its mapping. Very very bad! That is not just a feature, this is a bug!

In a world in which using one special hardware only gets less important than usability of the same functions / features / apps on different interfaces Microsoft should finally acknowledge that the lack of real IMAP (including whatever and how many folders ever that would be) on WP is behind the times.

i just realized researching on the web over why my lumia just can't seem to delete any emails (they are deleted locally, but when I log in on my desktop machine or ipad all deleted emails are still there). It's actually because there's no way to map the standard imap folders properly. Argh! MS, please include this in your next update, manually moving every single email I need to delete while constantly traveling on business is beyond annoying.

Start typing an e-mail in your desktop, (saving to drafts) continuing in your phone while on the move. Or vice-versa.
Windows Phone + Windows PC should be giving us the best experience. This is very helpful especially for your business users.
(it can be done in other mobile platforms...)

Agree 100%. Syncing with IMAP email account is messy without the ability to map folders (as is available in iOS).

agree w/ this - w/o this, custom IMAP accounts with different folder structures are essentially useless. MS, you do realize that just about every IMAP client under the sun allows this, right, including YOUR OWN on other platforms.

yes… and sometimes language sync problems could be solved as well!

Agreed. Better IMAP support overall would be nice (folders, flags etc.)

As a multiple IMAP mail accounts user, the option to map IMAP folders to their respective mail accounts is so important!
I would prefer to have the sent/deleted mail from the IMAP account to stay synced in the Sent/Trash folder of its own account, and not synced to Windows Live Mail.
The current workaround is to move the mails manually to the folders, but I cannot be doing that for every mail. :(
Please add this support!

Totally agree. This would mean I could map the WP7 'sent items' folder to my Yahoo account's 'sent items' folder and not end up with two folders with sent items in them.

Agree, Vincent! I don't use IMAP at all on my WP7 device because it wont allow me to use the IMAP folder names that I use on all my other machines. Very annoying!

This special IMAP folders should be mapped with "Sent items", "Draft", "Junk" folders of my Windows Phone.
It exists in Windows Live Mail, in Outlook and is present in the other mobile platform.
