Even after two years and some major new releases, this BUSINESS CRITICAL FEATURE is still missing!
It completely negates the enterprise ready positioning that WP8 is trying to achieve. Forwarding emails without deleting the mail trail - whether intentional or not - can be a major breach of compliance to policy in many organizations, including, I presume, Microsoft itself.

This should be commendatory. It should not be necessary to advise Microsoft of such a bug. This is by far the most important thing you must repair.

Please add/classify this a bug and not feature request. Thanks!

It's a must indeed. Simple question "include original message?" would be great for start and (if yes) editing options available.
Second thing - disable HTML. Typical e-mail should be composed in plain text. This WP8 client forces html in reply even, if plain text is received. It's against the Netiquete :( -

I have changed from iphone and android to WP8, thinking WP8 is cooler. Disappointed how it's not versatile compared to android. Sending email can't chose address in From. Reply and Forward can't edit/delete header or text. Attached pdf or pic or files can't be saved. Not one medical app is available....

No more Windows Phone until they fix the "bug".

Ditto on these comments. Took my last Nokia phone back for the same reason. On a daily basis I forward emails from other clients and it is absolutely critical that I have the ability to delete client's comments before forwarding. This is ridiculous. But I do love the operating system. I won't buy until this is fixed.

This is not a feature, this is basic email 101. Very dissapointing, in an otherwise impressive phone platform. It's fine to miss a few things (like editing forwarded emails and playing wav file voice messages from our corporate server) but you MUST have a way to FIX THEM ASAP. COME ON, you are already way behind and we are the very customer you are trying to woo over to the platform and you ***** up important things and then do not have a quick and responsive resolution. Cut out about 1000 commercials durin the Holiday Season and use the money to reply to each of these critical issues that keep enterprises from using the product. The social media **** can wait!

This is the feature (or the lack thereof) that stops me from buying windows phone. I am dead serious. I use this feature daily on my iPhone. Knowing how speedy MS is to react it will take them a few major releases to implement. We have better odds of having a decent third party email client appear in a year or two than MS fixing it. I will check back in 2015.

This is insane!! Microsoft really need to adress this issue since all my 6.500 users immideatly will compare this with their iPhone, where you CAN edit the original message.
Our Microsoft rep called this a "feature". It's not... It's common sence!! -

I agree this must be fixed in WP8!
The comment I got from our Microsoft representive was: Then you will change the source text.
If Microsoft have introduce this in WP8, Will they do the same in Outlook 2013.
I think Outlook and WP developers at Microsoft needs to have a meeting so they know what they are doing.
Please Microsoft can you have any comments in this topic??? -

OK, no hard feelings here but really? This can hardly be deemed "advanced" feature. Can you guys at Microsoft please enable us users to decide whether or not we want to / can share the original e-mail. Thanks.

I am amazed things like this are not included... And WP7 wonders why it's not doing as well as desired... So many faults at the most basic level! And guess what, they're starting all over again with W8! :(

Totally agree that this feature is required for data security reasons. I may not want or even must not forward previously send information or senders when forwarding an email. It should be a basic function.
