Yes, like it or not, most of us who are coming back to WIn 8 have long been using Google mail , Calenders. Please creats apps for better integration or make the calender as good as Google. Right now am using google calender still because Hotmail hasn't reached the level of gcalender. Specially with recurring events that I can set as I WANT.. gtalk video is probably the leanest in messenger services, at manyt locations where the wifi/ bandwidith is low, Skype wouldn't work( Skype is best i knw because of the bandwidth it uses).. Back to the point.:Gtalk lets me use video chat in very low bandwidth areas

Absolutely. I'm missing my old imessage functionality that I had on my old phone, and Skype is just way too flakey and bulky as a messenger. Please add gtalk.

gtalk should be added in messaging hub of windows phone in the latest released 7.8 update.. or else 7.8 will prove to be only cosmetic change over 7.5...

The lack of Google Chat is a huge problem for me. Third party apps aren't filling the gap, and really... this should just be built into the messaging application.

I accepted Nokias challenge and jump from Android to Windows Phone 8. Now, I'm missing a lot of apps. That I can live with. The thing that I still dont get is why there is no support for Google Talk (Chat and Video Call). Please do something about it. I have a new Nokia Lumia 920 and keep using my old Galaxy S2 to video chat, using the Nokia's internet connection.

There is absolutely no reason why this shouldn't be done. If you want users to switch over from Android and use WP8, you want them to have the best experience possible.

BUILD IT IN TO THE MESSAGING APPLICATION LIKE YOU DID WITH FACEBOOK. Please? There should be no reason we have to download a third-party or Google built app to do something that should be native.

If I can add my Gmail account to the mail and calendars, I should be able to chat with it through the Messaging app just like we can with Facebook.

        It's the same. ****. protocol.
