I don't want to use 3rd Party, since the majority look 2-bit :(

I want an XBOX Companion Type App from Microsoft for Windows Media Center 8 with full keyboard support (XBOX Companion lacks this). It must also include full EPG to set recordings.
If possible, I'd like the APP to act as an extender (LiveTV Streaming from Tuner). :)

I´d like to see more/better integration with PC as well, but the main media program for WP7 on the PC for the moment is Zune. I would really like to integrate control of Zune on the PC from my WP7, but also possibility to stream media from Zune to the phone! That would be a great media solution imho!

Work with pc remote from the marketplace (free). I don't understand the purpose of this suggestion, it's already done.

A native app would be fantastic and something I would use on a daily basis!

Use Windows Phone as Remote Control but for Zune Software. We have a great music player like Zune, and the most important, is the default software to sync the Windows Phone.

I was thinking about this but for Zune, give us an option to start and control the zune software from our phone as a remote.

When I first heard about the Xbox Companion App, I had assumed that we would get unfettered access to manipulating our Xbox with our phone. Alas, this was a major let down giving only the abilities of the media center remote plus search and quick play options.
I had envisioned the App to simply be a miniaturized version of the dashboard to let you swipe through the options and press what youre looking for as if you were using the kinect, but on your phone. I was hoping to maybe even get to use my phone as a controller for some less intense games, like indie games, but alas this was not the case. :-\

The companion is a start, but I want the ability to display media content from my phone on my xbox. Why can't I play a slideshow of recent photos on the xbox?

A lot of comments on this thread say this feature is already coming with the Xbox Companion app. This is NOT correct. This feature is to control Windows Media Center with a windows Phone. This means controlling Media Center App on xbox and Media Center on a PC with a windows phone. XBox companion app is cool but it does NOT allow a user to control the media center application.

I currently use "PC Remote" as a remote control with WMC. There is a small delay but the tools are there.

We've been working on vuPlan.tv for a while and its almost ready. vuPlan.tv installs as a system tray app for Windows 7 Media Center, waking and synchronising with the cloud every 15 minutes.
You use the Windows Phone application to view live trends in recording habits and schedule shows to record.

A remote control for WMC would be nice, but beyond that, coordinating remote access to WMC would be KILLER. Tightly integrate the media storage and TV recording of WMC with the on-the-go availability Windows Phone, and you'd have a feature above and beyond the offerings of OS X+iOS and Chrome+Android.
Let me schedule TV recordings from my phone. Let me watch recorded TV on my phone. Let me stream LIVE TV, slingbox style, to my phone. Let me stream my music to my phone. Basically, let my phone act as a WMC extender.
C'mon Microsoft, you have the resources, ecosystem, and know-how to make this happen. Do it right, and create a major selling point for both Windows and Windows Phone.
