Password or pin for Marketplace purchases
It's far too easy to accidentally buy apps or music from the marketplace. A password or pin number should be required to prevent accidental purchases.

Please add this to WP 7.8. Good that it is resolved in WP8, but I bought WP7.5 phone just over a year ago. If this is not added my next phone will shurely not be a windows phone.

Brilliant that it's been addressed in WP8, now how about all the WP7 users? Clearly still a massive problem. Sort it out please.

Son just purchased two apps without my knowledge on Windows Phone 7.5. I so want this platform to dominate, but obvious and basic stuff like this should be there.

You guys already know that in WP8 this has been fixed right?
Just add a payment type to your wallet and then add a pin to your wallet under settings > applications > wallet.
Now when you try to buy anything from the marketplace it will ask for the pin and then go to wallet and let you pick your payment type.

I agree. My daughter just made her second purchase. It is ridiculous that such a feature is not available.

Password is a must as you all mentioned before.
With ipod, iphone the password of the ID-account is required even if the app is for free ! -

Absolutelly! The main problems is that some apps have links to guy more apps is just a couple taps, often the ones used for litle kids. Is a domino effect!

Just got charged $3 to my phone bill for an app my little cousin bought while playing with my phone then spent 30 minutes trying to find a way to talk to someone about it only to be told via chat that there's nothing they that can do and there's no way to protect ourselves from this! Total ****! At least give us the option for a pin like the iPhone has!!

Coming from an iPhone I am shocked that there is no protection to prevent unwarranted purchase of apps. I thought at least I would be safe as I have not entered my credit card details but it will just charge to my phone bill instead for the cost of the app.

I thought I already took away my creditcard from my account, but my 5 year old just made his first purchase.
This must end! -
