Create Ringtones Directly From Music Hub

I'd love to be able to create ringtones DIRECTLY/on-the-fly from the songs I have in my Music Hub.

You can do this already with the Nokia Ringtone maker app on the Windows Phone Marketplace

you have created a great success in creating a new UI design but what about the basic features like blocking calls and directly assigning a song as ringtone from music library, the missing of these features show that u also have a great failure in providing the basics features to so called a smart phone

It's 2013! No call or sms blocking feature? IT'S 2013! and you call your phones SMART. Shame on you.

how do I set a default downloaded ring tone from the music hub to my touch T mobile cell?

This would be an awesome feature. I used to be very involved with ringtone customization on my phones, giving separate tones to several contacts and switching them up every so often. The approach to custom ringtones on WP is quite unintuitive, to the point where I'm a little discouraged to continue creating them. Please come up with a better way to go about this. Thanks!

for every song in the zune client.. atleast give us an option to select specific part of the song as ringtone.

This is definitely a make or break option here. When I tell my buddies, "The only thing that sucks about wp7 is making your ringtones and you can't select your own sms tone", they all have said better cross Windows off the list.

I'm happy with Nokia Tune as my ring tone. But I want to have an mp3 alarm to wake me up in the morning. ****, WebOS made it easy to use a Palm as an MP3 alarm clock.

I got my phone today and I was very confused when I wasn't able to find option to change ringtone to my favourite mp3. This is a joke. Every phone in the world has this option. I made my custom 40sec, under 1mb (LOL!!!!) ringtone, but this is not the way. It has to be changed. It really do!

Also, any audio file we have on our phone should be usable as ringtones, or notification sounds :) Its very simple. Android already did it. This would perfect my "in the mail" lumia 900

WE DON'T WANT TO EDIT music so that its less than 40 seconds. GUYS... thats just stupid, we're going to have to download a freeware program on our computer, figure out how to use it, edit the song, re-add it to ZUNE, Sync it with our phone, and then hope it works/sounds ok enough to use as a ringtone. Android and Apple already let you pick your ringtones from songs in the phones music library. YOU CAN'T COMPETE if you offer ANYTHING less or more frustrating than that. Make sense microsoft? It needs to be simple. No song in the world is 40 seconds or LESS.

The ringtones in setting are so limited, our users would like to have more choice.

Download 'myxer' for free from marketplace and use it to get thousands of ringtones, alerts, songs etc free. Download their free software to your pc and use it to edit songs as ringtones

The iPhone can do this. Why not Windows Phone?

Better yet, sell ringtones and notification tones in the Marketplace.

That there isnt an option to set a ringtone east, is just lame.
Dont understand why my wp7 doesnt do it.

I used to think this mattered. But I set a ringtone on my phone using a 3rd party app over my xmas break and I've yet to hear it ring. That's how often I receive actual out loud phone calls now a days.

I'm guessing this is why Microsoft originally cut this from their "todo" list and made it a low priority.

something like on ios, where we should able to cut/select the interested part on a personal song and apply directly as ringtone.
