The ability to create and add songs to playlist.
The ability to create and add songs to playlist from the phone.

Creating playlist should be an easy and workable task. Not a ten step .. And still may or may not work task.
I want to create my own playlist. And i want to sort seperate songs to them!

I think this should be a common sense for the Windows Phone , that user can create his/her own playlist on the phone itself !! this was present in symbian so why not use that idea. Its really a bothersome chore to connect your phone to laptop and update your playlists
What saddens me is that this is a two year old request and there has still been nothing done about it. I will not be getting a windows phone ever again because of the lack of functionality in this (and other) areas.
My Lumia 1020 is awesome in almost every way, except when it comes to creating playlists. Why can't this be a simple four step process like:
1: Select the create/edit playlist button
2: Add/remove songs/albums/artists
3: Save/delete playlists
4: Play playlists
The nearest I can get is to create a playlist with one song, so or use the temporary music queue which is lost if I happen to shut down my music app or play another song so I can't return to my temporary queue.
this is the worst part of the phone. i love evcerything else but its almost impossible to even make a playlist without having to go through each song one by one. i even tried making a playlist via windows media player, itunes and simply just making a folder in windows explorer. none of this worked!!! its annoying the **** out of me!!!

Why everytime we need to type playlist name while adding song to it? Very poor software designing
The music management on my Nokia Lumia 920 is awful. I've been trying to figure out how to add songs to a playlist for the last four hours with no results. How could something as simple as an "add to playlist" button be missed by people designing software for a smartphone?

One thing Nokia has always been weak at is Music and creating playlists. Just getting it right on Zune and then get a new lumia 920 and bang no longer Zune. No it's a mess. Still struggling. I can create a playlist but you can't add to it.

Having to download a 3rd party app to actually STOP the playlist playing... how bonkers is that? The music player is a complex mess - simplifying is not a matter of making the words bigger and leaving off the controls!

Yeah , this came as a surprise to me that we have no mechanism to add playlist without reading tutorial.

I want to vote this to the top, as of right now, I feel like te music player is unusable. And what's worse, is there is nothing better on the app store.
Add songs to now playing list, go to the active song (where you can slide to change songs) click the menu dots and save playlist.
that is weird !!!
something like this should have been added from the beginning !!
please add this on gdr3 plllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllls

My phone is my portable mp3 player. I have 16gb of music on it. I shouldn't have to go to my computer to select songs I want to play. Weird!
BUT - musicplayer usability - catastrophic:
-simple way to create and edit lists?
-songs playing one times and than disappearing

Definitely a much needed feature. I'm surprised it doesn't have more votes.
Please create the possibility to add or delete a song to or from a playlist or to create a new playlist directly on the phone. This is indeed basic and it worked perfectly on Nokia phones. If you want us to use Zune, then have the whole Zune Software on the phone, but don´t make us depend on a PC. I like WP but if these features won´t change, if have to look for another phone. Don´t copy Apple!
Its RIDICULOUS !!!
No playlist management !
You cant even remove a song from a playlist...
Ans more: the "app" to sync music for Windows 8 its pathetic: no playlist management too
I agree & most played songs should also be displayed
