  Yeah, my mom just dropped her Trophy on the driveway and the screen cracked. It still works just fine, but she got a replacement Trophy from Verizon. Would be nice if you could use the same backup utility that gets run when you updated to Mango, and then 'restore' that backup to the new device.

  I dropped my phone and got a replacement when I go to sync it with zune it should see that this is a new device ask if it is a replacement and ask if you would like to update it with all the previous settings that your old phone had. It should be the simple.... Not the complicated process it currently is.

  yes, i would like to have a possibilty to take a 1:1 backup and to copy it to the new phone.

  For example, I want to buy WP7.5 based phone and I do not want to have to re-install and re-configure everything, including game saves, etc.
