We need Skype.

You pathetic MS you are forcing me to move to other platforms. I pledge I will take at least 15 more of your customers to other platforms.

Disappointed with MS. How can you call me completed? It is not even integrated in messaging or me tile like facebook or twitter. It signs out when not in foreground and no calls or messages can be received. When will MS understand what their customers want? No more stuff from MS for me and I am sure many more will leave you too because of your inferior support standards. This is where your competitors are winning.
If you even care a bit, reply to this message with a proper response. Don't post generic diplomatic answers.

Completed? How? I have NL920 with the latest firmware update, It's not completed and should not be marked as completed.

This should not be marked as completed.

And, Skype functions need to integrated into the message and phone apps. Only then would you have something on par w iPhone with face time & imessage.

Still flakey. If a message is sent to the phone while it is off, it is not received when powered on.

I am at a loss why they didn't bake skype into windows phone 8 but instead made it a standalone app...
WHY?!?!?!?!?!

The new Windows phone skype app 2.1 is works fine with background message and calls. (The app should be uninstalled and again reinstalled to work fine). Whenever if app opened it takes time to resume it should be avoided immediately without fail.

Yes I agree this Skype feature is completed but only when the display/app is open, but if the display/app is close cannot receive a call or messages. it is beneficial to the user, especially in overseas if the Skype works even the app is open or close.

Allowing Skype to receive calls and messages even the display is closed. I tested Skype and able to receive calls and messages only when the display is on, if the display is off cannot receive a calls or messages at all.

This is the last thing a buy from microsoft its been years of continued dissapoinments one after another. MS is a really mediocre company and saying that this issue is resolved just because is available on WP8 is the living proof.

>:D Microsoft is stupid for not porting Skype to Windows Mobile 6.5! And when is it coming to Pocket PC?!? My Casio E-115 rules!!!
Microsoft needs to stop doing all of this newfangled 3-screens and smart glass nonsense! And the moving tiles confuse me. Just give me Windows XP on a phone - and if M$ doesn't stop innovating, I'm switching to Android!
Sincerely,
Prof. Enid GumbyPS: If the next Windows doesn't have a flag in the lower left corner, I'm not buying it! My pea-sized brain is incapable of coping with the concept that not all functionality of my PC or Phone can be seen at all time!

So we should put in a feature request to have Windows Phone 8 backported to old hardware so we can have Skype Integration?

Calling this "completed" is insulting - I'm not going to buy another new phone for a simple bug in Skype, when I just bought a Windows Phone 7.5 device several months ago..
