  This feature on Blackberry was great.
  Sweet dreams on the Android did the same. turned off all the radio stuff ie 3G WIFI bluetooth etc
  Would be great on W Phone 8

  18 months on, does anyone know if it got sorted? Is an app available that does this?

  Couldn't agree more. This was a standard feature on my previous BlackBerry and it was fantastic. A must! You'd get 15 votes from me n this if I had them to spare.

  I want schedule wifi on and off in some hours (over night) when is phone locked. Huge battery saver.

  It is critical my phone be off at certain times of the week. This would be extremely easy for Microsoft to implement.

  If your main concern is battery then I would just use the battery saver option over night.

  What use are you exactly wanting this option for?

  At least schedule auto on and off but I would expect to have someting wider: the possibility to schedule other feature of the phone such as on/off wifi, on/off wibration, on/off ringtone etc.

  i would combine this suggestion with other similar found in this blog while looking for this:
  - Timed profiles
  - Nokia Situations

  Can be nice to have a automated (timed) switch on-off for working days and weekend. Better for battery life also. On: day-hour, off:day-hour

  In wm 6.5 i had a tool that managed profiles. A profile could be a group of settings such as all the toggles like Vibrate,Wifi etc. I had my own made called Office, Home, Car, Weekend, Night etc along with some auto profiles such as Appointment(outlook). Each of these profiles could be set to turn on\off at specific times of the day or day-of-week. Profiles such as appointment would auto trigger based on the calendar. Using this feature i did not have to worry about things like phone ringing in the middle of a meeting/appointment or when I was at work or when I'm sleeping. I wish this to be present in WP7 too.

  Also a former Blackberry user, it's a great battery saver and more importantly, I wouldn't have remember turn down the volume on my phone every night so I won't get woken up by late-night facebook posts, etc. I'm a light sleeper. :)

  i like this idea also. i was a long time blackberry user before this and i find myself missing this feature... i would vote if i had more left!
