Im very dissapointed with battery life on my Nokia 620. My average time between charges is 26 hours. In my opinion that is very poor, and should increases 25% up at least.

Verizon's nokia 928 has over twice the battery life than that of the nokia 920 and the nokia 900. Why then is there no extended life batteries available for other nokia phones?

Battery life on my new Lumia 822 has been a real disappointment. The Lumia has a much bigger battery than my old HTC Incredible running Android, but lasts only about 1/2 the time of my Android phone. Many days it doesn't even make in through the day without dying, despite light use. Not sure if this is a hardware problem w/ the Lumia or a software problem with Windows phone, but it is extremely disappointing.

I traded in my iPhone 4 for an 8x last week. I am enjoying the phone and do use it a lot. However, I have found the phone do drop 40% overnight with no apps running. The phone charges so slow that I must keep it on the charger for 5-6 hours to complete the charge. This makes for a disappointing experience. My iPhone would charge in about 2 hours, and never drop more than 15% overnight without apps running.
I have followed the advice to turn off and/or slow down notifications, and lower the screen brightness. I haven't noticed much improvement. I think Microsoft needs to focus on efficiency throughout Windows Phone 8.
I see this feature suggestion doesn't have a lot of votes. I think the issue here has much more to do with functionality and less of a feature.

I have an 8X and my battery life is very good considering the amount of time I spend on it.

@Marcus: if you set the phone (I have Lumia 710) to save battery and set other options to not use network intensively for example and also reduce the display illumination, then you will be able to obtain more than 24 hours of battery last. Other additional possibility would be if Nokia provides a greater current capacity battery than the original.

Battery life simply sucks on Windows Phone 7. I was given one for Xmas by my spouse. Charged it up , played Angry Birds on it for 1/2 hour and the battery is gone! Gone! GONE!!! OVERNIGHT!!! WTF is this?
When I spoke to some of my friends about this, they laughed me out of the room.

I'm not at 2-4 hour battery life; and realize this is a smartphone problem in general & not a microsoft specific problem. But it's hard to get the phone to last all day for those times of heavy internet & app & map navigation usage....

NoDo really did a lot to improve battery life, but generally its the apps, and their excessive performance usage that waste the battery. I don't know what Microsoft could do about that.
Maybe a second battery is what you need.

2-4hrs????? I think there is something wrong with your phone. When I put mine on charge at night I still have about 40-50% battery life left.
