  The USB-host is NOT the same as the USB-storage.

  The USB-storage is an ability to plug your phone into PC and drag&drop the files. Microsoft has implemented the similar "MTP" function in WP8

  The USB-host is an ability to plug a USB-drive into the phone and operate files on the USB-drive via the phone.

  E.g. Nokia N8 has the USB-host.

  This would be perfect for travellers. It's the only thing I was wishing my phone had when I took it on my last holiday (for use as an image tank for my camera).

  usb OTG (on-the-go) should be aupported, just like nokia n8, it might use lots of battery, but it's so convenient for usb users
