Add widgets support (for example at the left of desktop)
Widgets clearly are the best thing in Android, would be great to have it at the left of desktop to enable/disable Wifi, data, check weather,etc...

Tiles are widgets and icons combined, you don't need widgets. Although I would agree to quarter size tiles for some apps that don't display live information would be great. Pin your settings tile to start page if you want quick access to bluetooth and wifi settings.

What do you need widgets for? Live tiles are like widgets, just looking better. The metro design (which exclude widgets) is the main argument for windows phone 7. If you are more into widgets buy a android phone.

I agree with you Jean, but now, tiles are not buttons (just a link), and one tile for airplane mode, one tile for data, one time for wifi takes place on the "desktop"!
So I would prefer a sort of control screen, different from main desktop.
A clock widget, weather widget or SMS widget can make the OS more easy, fast and pleasant. -

No, tiles are already a kind of widget. Why should MS go back to widget?
I agree for the wifi/data switch, but don't need widget for that! Maybe ability to split tiles in small buttons would be enough! -

+3!
It would be great, you can swipe to the right, so why not to the left?
And widgets are so useful, and sometimes can change all the phone!
