Brilliant Idea!
Yes, I also like the idea of when opening 'Bing Search' for the keyboard to be present. -

I really believe that this is the best way to implement a dedicated search button

Calendar search is what I would really like to have, so if that is covered in a Phone Content search, that would be great.

Yes, the selective search would be a great feature just like it is in wondows 8. Also the search key is really annoying while playing games an accidentally is pushed.

Also, when you do want Bing, the keyboard should come up automatically, instead of having to tap the text box. This creates an unnecessary step.
I know some may want to do voice or image search first, but those options are still at the bottom of the screen. -

I agree completely. Content search on the phone should be equally important and fast as Bing search is.

I think having two search buttons in front of you is a design fault. If you want to search for something in the app you currently in, usually unconsicously press the larger and closer to you search button, which brings up the Bing search. This is probably pushed by commercial issues, but still if a person wants to search the web he can go to the start screen and press the search button or another option would be a long press.
