        I agree, Dish, Comcast and DirecTV can set their DVRs to record remotely - it seems silly that MS can do that with their own platform.

        I'd be fine with combining this with other Media Center suggestions. However, it seems most of them are focused on using the WP7 device as a remote as opposed to a remote viewer (or extender). I want it to be clear that support for .wtv files and watching and managing TV via local wifi or cell data is the focus of this idea. I currenlty use the App "Media Buddy", but would like a native WP7 media center solution.
