  This is a must! I have Zune speaker docks, and I want to buy an alarm dock that could be used with multiple different models of Windows Phone so my wife and I can use our different Windows Phones as jukeboxes or alarm clocks or connect them to the TV with a remote.

  Seems like it would be cool, but getting third parties onboard is probably not gonna happen for what is still considered to be non major player in audio devices vs iproducts. there should be a USB standard that delvers high quality audio and song tag information so any 3rd party speaker/dock system could implement this and have the broadest range of device support. whether it's a Microsoft, apple or android product.

  This is essential now that the Zune product line has been killed. Audiophiles need this feature for using external DAC amplifiers for high end headphones.

  3rd-part accessories such as charging cradles, speaker docks, HDMI cables, etc. can be an important part of the Windows Phone ecosystem. Having a standard port at the bottom of the device flexible enough to handle charging, data transfer, HDMI, etc. would open up many possibilities.

  Speaker docks, alarm docks, etc. This should be the standard connector in a standard location for the phone instead of the USB port which could be anywhere on the phone.

  So few votes? Does nobody want the ability to play music, videos, pics through their enterainment system directly? There's an entire ecosystem from our competitor and it sure would be nice to be able to plug my phone into a A/V dock and play music from it.
