How about instead of just whenever it is mounted I can choose to turn this feature on or off whenever I wish? I don't have a mount in my car but I am consistently using Nokia Drive, also it would be nice if this feature automatically turned on the voice command modes for incoming texts and calls. This way I can be safe while driving by not having to reach for the phone to answer it. If I do answer a call with voice mode the phone should also automatically recognize this and put the phone on speaker mode if it is not paired with a bluetooth device.

I would even take this further:
Like the new dock for the HTC radar with a cooperating app that launches as soon as you place the device in the dock (landscape).
Used to have the same on my Garmin "nüvifone", great GPS replacement in the car btw. (unfortunately WinMo).
I could think of something like a unique ID of each docking device (car, desk, etc.) that allows to start the corresponding app upon insertion into the dock.
Landscape would be great to have for this too... -

The HTC Thunderbolt has a similar that I find extremely useful. What would be nice, is if the car doc has power supply the screen should be kept on and not go into lock mode. The Zune UI should adapt to the car so it has an interface similar to a car radio. Make it easy to skip songs and maybe have a set of quick links to favorite playlists. It should also accept all voice commands.
