I want the Outlook sync via USB back!! I do not want my outlook details stored in Microsoft's cloud. It seems I have to run my own exchange server to do this which is clearly overkill for a standalone outlook users. SO the new phone contacts/calendar is useless to me. A huge step backwards for small business.

Many customers are - for security reasons - not allowed to sync via the cloud. Give us the USB sync back that we had at Mobile 6.5

I bought a LUMIA expecting a seamless MS environment, including sync'ing with desktop. Big disappointment. Going back to Blackberry.

YES! This is the only thing really irritating me about windows phone 7. If we could just be allowed to sync office docs via usb instead of a cloud service or via emailing them to ourselves life would be so much better!

Skydrive is great for Onenote, because Onenote syncs with Skydrive quite well. But I need to see and edit my Excel worksheets and that's something I haven't been able to figure out.
Perhaps this is just a problem with Office/Windows, and not the phone.

I really need to be able to sync data files for keepass and my office docs with my phone. The skydrive option is not a viable workaround. Please change this. I may need to dump this phone and go with an Android (shutter) phone if I can't even sync my docs both ways. Having office on wp7 is useless otherwise.

Should dbe simple to use phone as storage for docs and data. Just drag and drop to phone. SkyDrive is cumbersome, inconvenient. And completley UNAVAILABLE when "Personal Storage Sites" are blocked by my workplace's internet security.
