  Apart from other settings for which the status bar could be the hub, let me switch sounds _and_ vibration off with the three-state toggle in the volume control, just like any other phone, including every PocketPC from 2002 to WM6.5. Stop "uninventing" things.

  You know when you use your volume up and down button, there's a quick switch to put it into vibrate and if you turn the volume down that's silent. (All without unlocking the phone). A couple button presses. You really need this to be easier? I suppose the quick toggle could be three states.

  Let it be 3 ways instead of 2 ring & vibrate , Vibrate and Silent . Simple .

  perhaps the switch on top of the screen could be etended to the silent option?

  Why i cannot just use silent mode ? You force me to use silent with ring tone.

  The current solution is extremely annoying, you have to go to settings each time you want to change from ring+vibr to silent mode. Much better on WM.
