  This would be absurdly simple. Why is it not done yet? It needs three things: turning background location updates on or off, selecting which contacts can see your location (everyone, contacts, selected, or none), and a site to store, view, and download tracking data.

  And, make sure there is an app for all Operating Systems. This 'locking' location services to specific handsets is stupid.
