  This is not a backup if the files are different ! Can't sort by date taken, lost GPS info ...

  @BenjaminH When the photo be automatically uploaded to skydrive. The EXIF info is gone.

  Where EXIF data is stripped of? If I upload an image via web browser, als EXIF information is kept: if downloading the file, it contains all EXIF data, even if resizing down to 1600px.

  I'm all for this. EXIF or any Metadata ought to be kept.

  On a related note, I think there should be a way to customize EXIF fields such as the Owner Name or include some sort of serial number field unique to the phone. Camera Metadata / EXIF customization (http://uservoice.com/a/7E8ZT)
