Hey guys, if you want this feature, lets consolidate the votes. The page I'm linking has the most votes, can you move your votes there?

my Titan HTC just received the Tango update 8773.98 - one month after the others 'cause Swisscom is more pro-Apple unfortunately...MS needs to care about his clients independantly from telecom carriers.

The main reasons for Microsoft to NOT allow further Customization by hardware vendors, (leading to Fragmentation) is to ensure their devices get the required updates.

Carriers can choose which updates go to customers which except for Mango is almost non-existent. ***** the carriers, support customer.

I really agree. I was going to buy WP7 for that reason and everything else, but you changed your policy. Don't be like Android, we are Windows Phone. I hope you change this again by 2013, because that is when my Windows Mobile contract is going to end.

I have an HTC Trophy, no carrier, use it with WiFi and plain GSM/SMS of a carrier that does not support WP7 (yet, if ever). I love WP7 but just encountered the keyboard bug. Please roll out the update through Zune. I am a pioneer, an evangalist (facing a lot of iPhone and Android lovers) and this just make me lose my face....
Revert the decision and roll out the updates directly!!! -

I used MS Windows Mobile phones since the first iPAQs and later on the phones. The last one I used was HTC HD2. My country has population of two street corners of New York and we do not get new devices with such frequency like the others. So I decided to switch to Android until some WP devices show around. I am not satisfied with Android I keep it because only HTC Radar is available from my carrier and I want to get a better one.
Since I like WinMo platform and I was sure WP will be better option than Apple or, for sure, Android I spoke about it in positive words about it hoping I will be, sooner or later, able to enjoy its benefit smyself.
The policy you just announced here in this post is comparable to the Android policy I really would like to avoid. First I have to wait update for device, that for Europe, than for country, than for carrier. If they make it. Disasaster! I see nothing customer oriented in such behaviour, MS did not have it anyhow (just remember all MS Windows version and upgrade policy) but I was hoping MS got it somehow. Seeing that you are just continuing to fool us I already decided that I will not wait for the WP phones any more.

I guess this is gonna be impossible for MS! Otherwise, unless they gonna make a super deal with all the carriers that they shouldn't delay the update process for more than 24 hours, everybody is unhappy and furious with their awful decision. All them users need is the ********* unremitting software update! ARE YOU EVEN LISTENING TO THE USERS' VOICE? seems like we are talking to the deaf ears ...

like others, i have reduced my votes elsewhere to +3 this. the 180 from the "look how awesome & focused on a the customer we are" message they sent w/ the mango update is 110% unacceptable.

Very disappointed in Microsoft for this post:
http://windowsteamblog.com/windows_phone/b/windowsphone/archive/2012/01/06/new-maintenance-release-for-windows-phone.aspx#commentsand the following part, "This week we started to make a new Windows Phone update —8107—available to many Windows Phone customers. The update, available to all carriers that request it, is part of our ongoing maintenance of Windows Phone."
This is huge loss of faith in Windows Phone in particular and Microsoft in general. I used to have trust in Microsoft, but this almost the death nail in that feeling.
Live up to your motto - Put People First
That doesn't mean put mobile operators first.

Ideally, also decouple from hardware Vendors. Zune is a copy of part of the Apple model. Google are having handsets produced for their Android OS, so, MS should commission their handset. Only 1 model. The flagship model, with all features that WP7 has to offer turned on at full noise. BlueTooth HID, tethering, HDMI. Make it expensive, if Apple has taught us nothing, if it's awsome, they will pay.
MS, you have a good start on WP7, now make it shine!
