Allow Windows 8 to be an update for Windows Phone 7!
Please allow users of the Windows Phone 7 get the Windows 8 software as an update and not make them go out and buy it!
Windows 7 devices CAN NOT be UPDATED to Windows 8 due to Hardware constraints. Please just buy a new device, you won't be disappointed!
update 7.8 windows phone devices plz plz plz...
They probably won't do it because it would coat too much money is what I heard
Allow window 8 to b update my contacts
Find a way to let Windows Phone 7 Customers upgrade their devices to Windows Phone 8 devices. Windows Phone 8 is awesome and existing Phone 7 Customers can see this.
I am certain 90% of existing Windows Phone 7 customers would upgrade their devices if they were allowed to do so at new contract rates. Give them all a customer loyalty incentive and let them extend their contract and get new phones for Black Friday rates.
Who would not upgrade to an HTC 8X or Lumia 920 for $99.00 and $49.00 respectively
In this day and age of carrier contracts you should never have a phone over 2 years anyway.

Unfortunately this is impossible, WP 7.x supports a different kernel, namely Windows (Embedded) CE, backporting is the best Microsoft can do, but they should backport all backup features from SkyDrive to WP 7.x so we can migrate more easily, it's the only thing holding me back from purchasing a Nokia Lumia 1020 to replace my HTC.
Plead help to me my windows phone store iteam download snd install
The lumia 800 doesnt hold the software capable of making the mobile a WP8 device apparently, at least thats whats been said by Microsoft.
This would be helpful

can I get an update 4 windows 8 on ma windows 7

What's unfair about not being to upgrade my WP7 to WP8, is that my carrier does not sell WP8 devices yet! I can't upgrade even if I had the money to do so! This is ridiculous, Microsoft. Stop abandoning your loyal users. I, for one, was abandoned once as a Zune owner and a second time as a WP7 owner.
I just hope it happens and of it does I thank them very much but if not well I like my Nokia Lumina 900, 7.5 just the way it is.
Most get a free upgrade every two years in the US. focusing on two year old devices is a lot of investment for something that 90% of buyers won't use. You are the extreme minority here and should go buy a ****** android if you don't like it.
Am not saying to upgrade my phone...windows 8 should be available to all....i think Microsoft purposely not doing because they want us to leave our current phone buy new one.....so that to increase their sale...but it will backfire....i will never going to any more windows phone in future....
Sure, upgrading the Omnia is technically possible. But why would they put the resources behind upgrading a 2 year old phone? How much demand is there for that exact model on Windows 8?
It's pretty absurd to expect that.
If Nokia 620 can handle windows 8 then why not my Samsung Omnia..... Nokia 620 having processors 1ghz and Omnia is having 1.5.....ram is same....why upgrade is not possible for my mobile.
This impossible as the wp8 has a completely different kernel. Wp8 biggest purpose is to bring pc's, tablet's and phone's os a little closer.
