With microSD card support in windows 8 phones (my samsung ACTIV s) it makes sense to allow skydrive to function the same as the desktop app. Allow the user to specify what folders to sync.

Why can't files be transferred from skydrive to phone memory? What a worthless cloud implementation.

With the native support in Office Hub, we need to create and delete folders on SkyDrive as well.

Check this app SMEStorage (http://www.windowsphone.com/en-us/apps/a6e4caf1-4834-4537-a628-9649c41985ce). Can manage files from a miriad of clouds.

The good news is SkyPad API is launched. http://code.msdn.microsoft.com/windowsapps/Skypad-SkyDrive-Sample-8a187bd8 (checkout the section "Live SDK supported platforms", it says:
•Windows Developer Preview
•Windows Phone 7.0 or higher)So thirdparty support is coming forth. I would like Microsoft to provide the native support for this app with ability to create and delete folders.
P.S. Please MS for the love of mankind, let us move/copy the files from the root directory of SkyDrive.com! I can upload in root but can move from there.. WHY?

@Flora sorry for the late response but i haven't heard anything official other than that supposely a SkyDrive App was in development and that it would be released also for iOS and Android.
Maybe if the developers can get more access to the SkyDrive features i think some 3rd party apps will start cropping up.

If Microsoft want people to start using cloud features like SkyDrive more, simple, obvious features like this are required. Without these features, the whole 'on-the-fly' idea fails, because then the user has to open up the website on a computer to delete the file they no longer need.
