  I need this feature! I switched from iOS to Android to WP8 and now I dont even have this basic function anymore!!!

  If you are not using EAS, this would be really great. Most Mailservers support IMAP IDLE.

  IMAP IDLE is absolutely necessary for a business class mobile OS. This omission is inexcusable.

  Blackberry supported it - the gmx.de mails were faster than SMS - but now every 15 Min they are polled��

  Would really like to see IMAP IDLE support in the WP mail client for IMAPv4 compliant servers, ie. Cyrus.

  not able to connect our company mails.

  I am having open source mail (Zimbra). was able to connect and in this i am getting only incoming & not able to send outgoing.

  Very important for me, too because I usd my own domain for email that supports that feature.
