File transfer without zune

Would LOVE to be able to copy files to and from the phone without using zune software, just like with regular USB stick (like WM6.5)

A feature completely wipe zune permanently, it is frustrating many users and is unnecessary, make all nokia phones even older models somehow able to due a direct usb mass storage transfer to save the totally useless confusing zune. When i try to use zunn it doesnt find folders i have made in my music library, im assuming it wants to import only playlist i have created with windows media player which i dont use, anyway im over this garbage. You were warned future windows phone buyers, i think you may be ok buying a newer version phone as from the post above mentioned you no longer need zune you can actually just drag and drop files similar to an android. now theres using your head windows.

i have a nokia lumina 710, and i hate that i have to use zune. I'ts unnecessarily complicated and cumbersome, it makes transferring files a complete pain, my friend has a nokia lumina 625 and i don't need to use zune which is great. Why cant zune be more user friendly with adding media such as loose mp3's and folders? I will never buy a windows phone again for the same reason I will never buy an apple iphone, you have to use your propriety software which is ridicules. Android for me from now on. ZUNE freakin SUCKS its too irritating and not user friendly!!

I can't believe Zune is the only exclusive connection manager for Windows phone 7.5. I really regret buying windows mobile. Zune app is a piece of ****. If you are a serious music collector with huge music collection, it will likely crash Zune. All other mobile OS will connect to any versions of Windows seamlessly thru USB or bluetooth or even LAN except Windows mobile 7.5 or 7.8. It is really a shame.

You may wirelessly transfer/copy music files to your Windows Phone via a web browser using the updated version 1.0.2.0 of Music Drop by Codeceptive Studios. The first version was great but the new one is even better! And what's best about this app: it's fast, efficient and most of all free ;-)

NOOOO this is the worst thing you could have possibly done!!!!!!! bring it back its a lot better at organizing it with zune software.

Nokia window phones are just trash compare to Android phones I regret for buying it. You cannot even transfer
        document to and from PC.

This should work over WIFI and the phone should show up in the file manager in W8/8.1.
There should be a possibility to "pair" the phone with Windows and then share printer, music (all, not just purchased through MS), video, documents etc etc).

I.e. INTEGRATE and “pair” through WIFI!

This would be an area where WP really would stand out from the other systems.
I was actually surprised that my Nokia 925 can’t do this. For me, this is something that a WP phone MUST and should be able to do.
