Native video calling is a must. Not everyone uses Tango

Native video calling should be provided to allow users to make video calls over 3g network without being dependant on 3rd party apps.

I felt cheated by the Lumia 920. Its a selfish innovation. No alphanumeric keyboard, no video calling, not user friendly and many restrictions.

Why no 3g Video call?? I really felt cheated after purchasing it. If there is no upgrade for it soon, the word of mouth will spread like wildfire to shun the lumia windows phone!!

I want to switch to Nokia Lumia 920 but no 3g video call in WP8 is disappointing. Please update the firmware to include this needed feature.

I have Android mobile and I am disappointed after purchasing when I Found no Native 3g video call capability. I am using Nokia for the past 10 years and all devices have 3g video call.

Agreed, what the point of the front facing camera ? selfies ? I don't want to use Skype, not every one on my contact list has it, hardly anyone does. I want to have the option, voice or video dial. This was a bad move not including this from the get go.

        skype etc consuming transfer...
3g benefit is that we can call video without using transfer via internet...

I think the era of paid video call is over
IOs use in-build FACE but no separate video call options.
In android I have checked the SONY phones it too lack the feature to place video call.
I have seen this option in Samsung phone but when I place video call to Sony , the Sony phone took it as a regular call.
There is no point in using a smart phone without a data pack. If a data pack is subscribed why pay for VC when u can use it with the data pack you have already have.

Can't believe this. I just "upgraded" from a nokia n8 to a nokia lumia 920. I knew I'd lose the FM transmitter, which hurt but I could live with that. I even convinced my wife to ditch her galaxy and get one as well. Now I learn we can't video call without eating into our data. If I had known this beforehand, it probably would have been enough to bring an end to my long list of nokia ownership. Please enable us to video call over a 3G or 4G network, or this will be the last Nokia or Windows phone I or my wife buy. (I have faith in you, Nokia!)

OMG.. It has been 2 weeks since I bought a Samsung Ativ S Windows Phone 8.. And I just realized that there's no native video call via 3G network when I need to make video call to my family.. It's disappointed indeed.. Please make it as the urgen update for windows phone..

that is disappointing; for me, a no-buy criterium, especially when this is a listed feature e.g. for the lumia 920, and only a second view reveals that it is video call using skype.

Really disappointing that 3g is not there. Should also support standard video conferencing.

It is a shame that W8 does not have it. Do not expect everyone to have tango or skype apps. They do not serve the purpose.
Have this feature at the earliest or else you may see a majority of potential cusmters shosing andrioid or iOS, and many may even leave windows platform for this. It is extremely impotrant and a MUST have.

ITS A MUST! Yes if this could happen it would be GREAT! I thought that when the features on the NOkia 810 said video chat that meant we could call each other and see each other like the facetime would! im upset bc my family doesnt use many chatting rooms like skype and i dont think it is fair to have to use data usage to video chat using the skype app.

its basic necessity to have 3g video calling!!! come on MS its like birth right to have native 3G calling on a smartphone. Else it should be called as a dumb phone.
