Volume Control on the screen instead of just the physical button
I agree with the easy of use of physical volume buttons on the phone. But there are many times when it is even easier, quicker and more comfortable to use the onscreen volume control. Just like the iphone, they also have the physical volume rocker and the onscreen volume control. I don't think iphone user would use more often the physical buttons than the one on the software.

I really need this feature, because I broke the physical volume control.

Yes...supertube app does this very nicely...using 2 fingers and expanding causes volume to increase and pinching reduces the volume....and yes....having to press the volume buttons for this seems too crude...i keep on hitting the lock screen key

I found an app that could change the volume by touch instead of buttons. If you have dev unlocked, then check this url http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1577919

YES!!! I need this feature!! I spent the first several days with my lumia swiping the screen expecting the volume turn up/down just like in Zune HD. I mean, the music player is supposed to be based on zune, so why the difference?? Swiping the screen is so much more convenient than having to press the stupid volume buttons
