Seriously would be nice to sync WP8 maps to Bing maps. any change or addition on one shows up on the other and vice versa. This seems very basic and tremendously useful. Please Microsoft! Thank you.

Very important and I don't know why it's not included. You had it in all of the earlier versions of Windows Phone down to Windows CE 1.0.
LET ME COPY AND PASTE A PHONE NUMBER TO THE PHONE DIALER.
I use Mobile Word to save all my customer info, however the phone numbers do not Highlight or link from it. So if I could copy/paste to the dialer, it would be a whole lot easier. You could probably link or highlight the phone number, but I figure this would be easier.
Oh and bring back Handwriting recognition like Jot from Windows CE 2. By far that was the best one ever. I had it on my Cassiopeia back in the day.

You guys need to make a setting on your map app where it says: "Avoid Tolls" or "Avoid Highways with tolls" when doing Directions. Usually I don't take toll roads, so going around would be great. Oh and let me sync my Phone Map Places with Bing Maps online. Also, when I zoom in to a close enough level I should be able to see the name of the business in that area without having to click on anything. And REMOVE the lines from the road when I zoom into satellite mode, I want to see if there's a light on that intersection and I can't because you have a line right over it.
Otherwise, I'm really liking the app, it's easy to use and fast when I need it.

Staggering that this was not included out-of-the-box.

I really need this for every day work. A way to collect places I go often. And for vacation planning.

Come on, Microsoft can do much better than google maps! I m going to Japan and have chosen all the interesting places and hoped to sync with my Nokia Lumia and ..... disappointed.

This should have been part of at least Mango Release. This is very basic features expected from Microsoft.
I believe this should be a minor change and Microsoft can release a new Maps app which has facility to sync with My Places in BING

Yep, I am going on vacation. I made sure I pinned all my places I am going to on Bing PC, then I went over to my phone and... NOTHING! Unfortunately it is too late for me to do anything else but print a paper copy now. Come on MS this should have been in there by default!

"My Places" in Bing Maps on PC and "Favourites" in Maps app on WP7 need to sync.
On your Windows Phone using the Bing Maps app, you should be able to view the places you have saved in My Places using Bing Maps on a PC, including saved waypoints and paths.
Why don't these points already sync since you use the same Windows Live account to log in to both? -

Androids have this with Google Maps. The Windows phone should do this with Bing Maps as well!
