Just got this Lumia 800 and it doesn't support most of html5. Thought you were promising to do this and yet I hear that ie 10 is not part of windows 7.8. If you're refusing to support us at least let us choose another browser otherwise I might as well chosen an iphone.

I have a WP7 and regret getting it to this day because Opera is not present on it and IE9 does not have 1/4th the features Opera Mobile has.

How windows phone operating system to compete with others that limit the developer?

Well, there is an alternative browser. The SurfCube. And it si actually much better than the IE. But my point is that I dont think Microsoft is blocking Opera is some way, they probably just dont want do make it for WP because of the lack of users the WP have...

Fortunately we have EU and they will ask MS to allow it :)

Daily I use Opera on my notebook but must say that on Lumia 900 I can't complain on IE :)

It's not that Microsoft doesn't allow alternate browsers per-se, it's that you can write a proper browser in Silverlight.

When my iPhone 3GS broke, I really wanted to buy a Lumia 800 or even 900. But When you only got Edge or when the 3G sucks, yes, Opera Mini is just a must have. At least iOS has Opera Mini and once it's jailbroken, you can have whatever you want. There's no cydia for WP, no way to turn it the way you'd like it to be.. Anyway I bought an iPhone 4. I wish they will allow Opera Mini to be developped on WP8! (Lumia 920..<3)

It's up to Opera. Let Opera know you want it ported to WP. I would love to have it too. You can check out uc browser, it's pretty good
