Block calls and sms from specified numbers (blacklist)

Need to add a block sender for both calls and sms on a so called SMART phone. Creates a black list of phone numbers.

        Give 'Blacklist' software... I need some application supporting nokia lumia 520 which can blocks calls .... aaaah... i wasted my 10K on Lumia 520. windows 8 phone,i fedup with lumia

        1. "Windows Phone 8" works on phones.
        2. Phones are used for making and receiving calls.
        3. One aspect of receiving calls is choosing not to receive harrasing calls.

        So, logic says that Windows Phone 8 must have a call blocker facility.

        But the frustration is: this basic utility expected of any phone OS is missing, eventhough a quick search on internet shows that thousands upon thousands of people want it.

        Dear MS/Nokia: What is stopping you from giving your customers such an app?

        I mean... WHYYYYYYYYYYYY??????

        Please make sure that you add the ability to block calls. This is very important and something that will cause me to go to another operating system over. Also it would be nice to have a blacklist of numbers available.

        The only reason i can't by new WP8 SmartPhone is because
        there is no such app.

        This feature is necessary as the air! Especially block unwanted SMS and incoming calls but also necessary

        My last phone was a Nokia E72 that gave me several choices for blocking junk calls and text messages that worked great.
        My Lumia 620 no such luck. Several unwanted calls and text messages a day now!
        Also the Nokia suite on my PC that supported my E72 said upgrading to Lumia would be easy - no Sir - not if you're transferring the SIM card.

        Voted. A real shame for MS that this is still not possible for WP8! Of Course there are "workarounds" like set a silent.mp3 for "bad numbers" but this is just a "workaround" and not a final solution. Such feature was possible for WM5 and WM6 but isn't available for WP7x and WP8 ... Come on, guys at MS, don't ignore thousands of users (see votes)!!

        Its extremely sad so called Nokia 920 smart phone does not have blocking of a phone contact, No FM,
        How can one launch a phone without basic requirements. Sad part is that Airtel the service provider can also not block a number if its out side the circle area.

        Looks like this topic has been covered, so why doesn't windows phone do something about it and get an ap out to block unwanted callers? I am sure many of us will go to a cell platform that allows this when their commitment runs out.
