Close app on multi task screen
Some apps, like the Internet app and game apps, back button doesn't close the app, troublesome to tap a few times before its finally closed.
I'd like to see the possibility to close an application when you open the application task
Better Task Manager That Kills The Opened Apps Straight
Looking at the HP touchpad, an app in the minimized view , using touch gesture, throw it off the screen to close it.
When you maintain the back button, you can access to the applications who run in background. We should have a cross button to close them.
A cross button over every program when we long press back button to the multi tasking option so we can directly kill that program easily
To close the application no need to press the back button. Only need x button to close the application
When going to the app switcher, each windows shouod have an x in the corner to close the app. Also include a close all button.
After press Long-Touch back button, I want to kill task. Not only see it
quick close background running apps
For example holding until an (X) appears on the edge of the screen (such as when you want to remove a tile from the homescreen).
To close apps. Tap and hold the running app- as you hold a context menu appears and gives the option to delete.
It would be nice if the phone allows to to delete/remove/kill the instance app by showing the little 'x' mark on top ofrom multi-tasking queue.
I would simply want a button to close/"kill" an open application in the multitask screen.
I want an easy way to manage what is open (like windows task manager). Put an X on the card view to close apps. PLEASE!!!!
Thanks for your multi tasker suggestion. It’s always great to see such great feedback. While we can’t promise to ship every suggestion that gets submitted, we will be sure that our product development team receives your feedback. Keep those votes and suggestions coming!
It is ridiculous that every time I'm opening a application, which i want to close it. Plz add close button on multiple window display.

In Internet Explorer, makes it easier for us to close the app. I need to close every tabs before I can finally quit IE, which can take time if I open many tabs. The back arrow button is very annoying to use, need to press it many times until I can finally close. You can add an option 'quit' in the menu, or you can add an on-screen 'quit' button beside the address bar. That's my suggestion.
This is so important.. Could make using wp so much easier.
yea devs listened to it :P

This seems to be coming in the next release judging from the recent leak due to the lost dev phone with an internal OS build. The devs seem to have listened to this ;)

Just to elaborate this feature
If we can get the ability to close application by swiping it up or downwards to close it on multitask screen would also be great idea...
Please make sure an individual can manually update flash player and other programs software when we like. This is inexcusable that you prevented a user from doing so already.

I am a proud Windows Phone 8.0 user i have some suggestions... 1. Killing up of a process during multi tasking (This could be done by pressing back button and automatic cross icon to kill task should come up) 2. Why not task manager feature is provided, how can one monitor the CPU resources being used...
3. Feature of Re-Booting up a phone should also be added...
and a lil user customization should also be provided... :P

I need a faster way to close apps!
I multi task on this and need a way to close a specific app instead on hitting back 500 times.
If my back button wasnt a soft button behind gorilla glass I should have a hole on it by now.. cmon
Why should be Difficult to Close Those APP's
Excellent to "Genius09"
We Hope They will Do it!

You can shut of your data network without using plane mode
go to settings>mobile network>data connection>and switch to on or off
I read somewhere that the APPs in the multi task screen are actually not running and there is no need to close them. Okay, this was a first and 30,000 votes means most of us don't get this logic. I think microsoft should invest in videos on "how-to" for WP8 and put it on internet and on the phone.
30000+ voted Mobile Guru.... That is significant enough.
